SOC 231 - Criminology Students will be introduced to the principal sociological perspectives on the causes of crime, with special emphasis on critically assessing and comparing key theoretical explanations of crime. They will also be introduced to the criminal justice system with a focus on the principal sociological perspectives on the roles of law enforcement agencies, the judicial and penal systems, and post-conviction treatments.
