FREN 344 - Francophone Cultures

A study of aspects of Francophone cultures. Topics include language and communication; marriage, and gender roles; immigration (Europe, Africa, Canada, Vietnam, and the Caribbean); cultural and religious practices, and the arts. Materials are drawn from sources including online media, short stories, novels, movies and music. Conducted entirely in French. FREN 250 with a grade of C+ or better is highly recommended prior to this course.
