THEA 272 - Stage Production II: Costume and Sound Technology

An introduction to the basics of stage production for the performing arts with special attention to the disciplines of dance and theatre. Areas of study focus on costume and sound technology. Students will develop their skills as a costume technician including hand and machine sewing and costume construction. Additionally, students will be introduced to the basics of sound design and develop their skills as a sound technician, including system work, basic recording techniques, and sound editing. This class will include lectures, demonstrations, and experiential learning of subject matter. Cross-listed with DAN 272.
